Hello everyone! I
am Anwarul Azim, hail from beautiful and green country of South Asia,
Bangladesh.
I have done my
Bachelor and Masters in Mass Communication and Journalism from the University
of Dhaka. Later, I have completed one year Post Graduate Diploma in Rural
Development Management from National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD),
India and another Post Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the
University of Dhaka. I had participated in different short courses in India, The
Philippines, Malaysia and Japan on critical and emerging development issues.
I have been
working for the Government of Bangladesh since 2001, presently; I hold the
position of Deputy Director at Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD)
affiliated with the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and
Cooperatives. My major responsibilities are to conduct Training, Research and
Action Research Projects in the fields of ICTs, Mass Communication and Media,
Rural Development and Poverty Reduction of Bangladesh. My research findings are
used in national policy making and University curriculums. I hold memberships
of 12 socio-cultural Organizations and Associations at home and abroad.
In my personal
life I am married and I am blessed with one lovely daughter namely Tahsin
Tasneem, Putul (6years old) and one handsome son namely Ashraful Abir, Raj (4
years old). My beloved wife is Momotaz Pervin who works in the Bangladesh Power
Development Board, Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government
of Bangladesh as Senior Assistant Director.
I firmly believe
that my present assignment of studying MSC in Agriculture and Rural Development
in Hankyong National University, Korea under the auspicious of KOICA would be a
precious stone in my future career endeavor to contribute for the socioeconomic
development of my home country, Bangladesh.
